Any Ideas on why

Why is this one doing this. It will go from the nice flat disc, normal stalk to this..

Could it be seeking more light?

the par level averages 108 on the sand, 2 inches down from it. Its a 40 gallon breeder with 2 175watt MH (20k Plusrites).

It will do this for a few hours and then go back to normal

It might be trying to catch some food. If you can keep your fish/invertebrates away from it for awhile, you might want to drop a small NLS pellet on it and see what happens.

Food did nothing,, it started moving toward the lighted part of the rock, so I put it on the sand, it flattened right out and looks like a shroom again.. picky bugger

Looks like it was getting shaded from light by the rock over it, good plan getting it under higher light
