Tunze MAR 3181 algae reactor
I'm interested in this reactor and since i can't see it in person (but i can order it) i have few questions.
Can this reactor be used only as external or can i install it in sump directly? Original videos show light spills everywhere which is not good for sump use. But later photos i can see the reactor comes wrapped. So is the production model wrapped and there is no light spill to the sump? Does it come with the pump and is it a quiet one? How often does it require cleaning of algae if it grows normally? |

The reactors will launch in April, they are not available yet. They do include a DC controllable pump. The LED is waterproof and they can be used in sump or external. Growth rate of the chaeto will depend largely on levels of NO3, PO4 and Iron but I would typically expect weekly to biweekly removal of chaeto. The final version will have a wrap and a black lid that can be closed with thumbscrews (external) or magnetically (in sump).
