Thanks Steve.
eonflux123 - It's been coming along slowly. I have been plugging away. General Updates 03/19/2018 - Frag Tank Updates My cheap EBay pH probe finally died. I thought it would last a bit longer but this cheap crap did not last long at all. For weeks it was giving off bad readings finally when I checked I realized it was dead. I guess you cannot expect much for $6.85. I replaced it with a new Pinpoint pH probe. The LED lights are still proving to be very challenging for me and the corals are not adjusting well.03/24/2018- New Equipment I like Simplicity products and as a result purchased a new Simplicity dosing container. The craftsmanship is amazing and the price is great too. Not too long after I placed my order I found out that they offered an accessory kit for it and since I have loads of float switches I added three to mine. I was thinking of building one of these but this price was too good to pass up.03/25/2018 -Main Tank Updates I pulled the trigger and added some of the rock to the main display tank. I tested the phosphate levels before and they were 0.00 ppm over night and they were reading .05 ppm. I decided that I would wait a few more days and see how the tank reacted. I loaded up one of my new media reactors about 3/4 with GFO and hoped for the best.03/25/2018 - Cabinet Updates My local glass shop was able to cut my glass order and I installed the panes in the cabinet doors. I must say they look they really turned out nicely. I checked prices for granite and I am weighing the option of just adding a regular counter top from Lowes or Home Depot and be done with them. I picked up a bar sink so the sooner I get the counter top figured out the better.

03/27/2018 - Cycled Rock Phosphate Updates Pukani rock is pretty but this stuff leaches phosphates like no other. I have been doing 100% water changes every 4- 5 days or so and dosing with the LC. Once the readings read zero on my old tester I wait a few days and when it starts to rise a bit I do a 100% water change. The numbers were staying at zero for over a week and when I last tested with my new tester I was reading something like 8 which when converted was not bad at all. Phosphates also were in the main tank but very low. I order Cheato to help reduce the phosphate as I figured the rock would keep leaching for for a while in the display. I am down to only one bin of rock and the last few pieces are my really huge pieces. These were neglected while in the garage but now I have all the remaining rock in the fish room I can give it the proper attention. One thing with LC it works great but this stuff is rough on the equipment. I am using a two little fishes reactor stuffed with cotton and Seachem PhosGuard to catch the particulate and its really nasty. The cotton was bright white and after less than 10 days of use it is a dark grayish. 04/03/2018 - Main Tank Updates 04/08/2018 - Main Display Updates
04/10/2018 - First Coral Order Arrived 04/13/2018 - Main Display Updates

Great update! Your detail in this makes it a great read! Phosphate was the bane of my existence with my old 75 gallon and I did a similar thing that you did with pukani! When I get enough income to get back into the hobby I'm doing a super long cure on my rocks before putting them int he tank! Your display is really sick looking! The depth is really interesting! What lights do you have? If the coral are not adjusting to the lights, I believe most manufacturers have an acclimation cycle for their systems.

I can't get a good shot of the aquascape from above no matter what I do. Below are a few of the picture I tried to to capture. It's had to really get a sense of the the crevices from either side. But its basically going to be a cove area and an open swimming area for those that like to hang out in the open. I also added a picture of my one fish that is in the frag tank. I don't think he will be with me much longer. He does not swim very far anymore and looks like he is just trying to hold on. I have had him since 2004 or so...in fish years I guess he is pretty old. He has survived 3 tank crashes and 4 different females.

It's gonna be a while for the fish. I need to let he pods establish for a few weeks or so. I think I will be ordering a clean up crew soon. I have not run the the lights on the display since nothing is in there. The couple of snails and two hermit crabs will not be able to keep up with the algae once the lights are running.
This is how big my first harvest was....it filled the container. 20180418_185640 by LifeThrough_TheLense, on Flickr 20180418_185627 by LifeThrough_TheLense, on Flickr

Great job. Question if you will on your 1" sea swirls. I am also using a pair and wondering if you have anything on the end / output to direct water. Or are you just leaving it with the default elbow? That is how mine are currently set. I was thinking about adding a random flow generator from Vivid but their current solution would extend it from the sea swirl elbow too much for me.
Regarding the rock you are using, the dry Pukani. I ordered about 150lbs from them also and it is pretty interesting stuff. I didn't order the large sizes but at least one piece in each of the boxes I received easily exceeded 18" in size. My better half was teasing me asking if I accidently ordered landscape material for our front yard... My tank finished its cycle the end of February or first week of March. I only flipped the lights on this past weekend and transferred my 40 breeder over. While I like the rock, and yours is also nice, I probably would never do it again. My routine was unbox, pressure wash, 24 hours in bleach, rinse, another 24 hours in bleach, rinse, 24 more hours in bleach, rinse, add lanthanum chloride, 24 hours, rinse, more lanthanum chloride, 24 hours, rinse, pressure wash, aquascape in tank, add ri/ro water, salt mix, extra heavy dose of dechlorinator to be safe, and rode it out for about a month before moving the tank or adding lights. Again great setup - virtual High Five.

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure if you can see it or not in the picture below but the ones on the end I have a y split on them and then two fan nozzles. The two towards the overflow I only have one nozzle on currently. I have been too lazy to dig out the other nozzle. Maybe I will get that done sometime this weekend....lol. Let me know if you need a better picture. They extend further than I would like but I am hoping once all the pretty corals grown in (once I can keep them alive) people won't notice. I also plan to re-frame the tank. I want to bring the top part down a bit so you only see the water line. Funny story about the Pukani...those big pieces are so amazing. I am crossing my fingers for you on the rock treatment. I have learned you can not rush this stuff. My first tank looked pretty when people first started using it then I fought phosphates until the tank crashed. What is your current phosphate reading? Right back at you with the virtual high five .
