hammer. Based on how much those zoas are stretching, there might not be enough light for a hammer at that spot.

Really. It seems to be doing OK, certainly opens and closes OK. I could turn up the lights 10% each, but don't want to freak out the other corals. I thought those zoas were palys which are on stalks compared to the other ones on the rock?

Palythoa is an order under Zoantharia. So all palys are zoas. I dont know what exactly they are, bit they dont look like button polyps (which are traditionally considered as palys).

In either case, imo stalks are too long. You can try to keep the hammer at that spot and move it if it doesn't grow.

In your opinion do you think 8ncreasing reef white 10 % would benefit them?

It might. But it is generally better to raise white and blue in equal ratio. If you just raise whites, it might cause the colors to look washed out.

Also I would not raise it more then 5% a week, in order reduce the risk of bleaching.

If you want to be picky, that's E. parancora. Branching hammer.

No it’s definitely a hammer. Not a bubble coral
