Polyps retraction (again)

Hi everyone,
This particular colony had its polyps retracted a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't shown much progress since then.
All parameters are ok, no signal of zoapox and all other corals are doing great. Light is LED and I have much more sensitive animals like clams and SPS.
As you can see on the picture, the zoa next to it is a little retracted too, but it was an week ago and it is fine now.

Any advice?

Have you tried giving them a dip?

Have you attempted to move it to a different spot (maybe different water flow?)

Just because your polyps retract, does not mean you should go dip crazy.

OP mind sharing some more information on your tank/tankmates?

I 100% agree with this!

I guess I didn't articulate that question very well....

I meant to ask if they had been dipped when introduced to the tank. It's funny that asking if he tried dipping them equals "go dip crazy" though. Did I recommend he dip them? Nope. Just asked if he had. That's a pretty big leap.

I haven't done any dips. Yes, I tried to move it to several different places in the last month.
I noticed the green colony next to any stopped expanding and seems to be going the same route. In addition, there are some minor brow polyps in the same colony, which are thriving.
Could the brown polyps be releasing something in the other to fight the other polyps?

It's been a month, so I keen to try dips or something more aggressive. What do you recommend?

Cheers

Maybe the light are too strong for them? LEDs are pretty strong.

x2 if your running 3w leds.

I brought a small colony into my 3w led tank last week. acclimate from the bottom for sure. but heck if yours have been where they are for a month, they are used to whatever lights you have I guess.

I use "Revive" for my coral dips. You can get it at the LFS. Smells like lemon juice. hehe

They are under 36 x 3w LEDS.

I was used to have zoas with 800w MH light, in another tank, without any problems and I would be surprised if these LEDs are too much.
Anyway, I followed the advice and moved the two colonies to a cave, with partial lighting.

The same thing happened to me. I had a nice thriving colony and all of a sudden all the polyps closed and stayed closed for a month. There were no pest and no signs of and bacterial/fungal infection. So I did not dip. I moved the colony to a different area with high flow and low light. After 2 weeks the skirts slowly started to come out. And 2 weeks after the polyps fully opened. IMO it was a chemical warfare from other corals. Zoas close when it feels it is in danger. another possibility is alk swings. I would keep a close eye on your alk.

Im having the same problem.... My favorite little colony just shriveled up and closed... Now there is only one and the others are closed. Yet there are 3 others that are thriving near them.
