How big is the DT? I don't think you'll have any problems going from one salt to the other. No need to mix the two together.

I don't think that mixing them will be necessary, but it's not very hard.I guess I'd probably do the mixing if the tank had touchy stony corals. Maybe 50/50 for the first few changes.

I would mix them. I hate when someone buys another brand of catsup. That first taste of the new brand is a shock.

IMO you asked the wrong question...
and provided insufficient details.

Its likely that switching to that salt and not adjusting something is going to cause an increase in parameters that could be a problem.. specifically alk..
Is that going to be a problem if your alk rises? corals in the tank?
Heck why are you even switching?
Have you thought about adjusting the alk with muriatic acid prior to waterchange?

Unless the parameters of the RC and the salt your currently using are miles apart a 25% water change is not going to have much of an impact on your parameters IMO. Fish, corals, invertebrates etc are a lot more durable than one might think. Unless I was doing a MASSIVE water change I wouldn't even think twice about switching from one salt to the other.
