6055 motor cable
Hello.
Is this safe to use? It was working prior to me cleaning it, but I don't want to put it in the tank if it's dangerous.. The cable is very stiff, and doesn't push back into the housing at all. Thanks in advance.. |

The motor, part 6055.100 should be replaced. The cord has become hard and brittle which they tend to do after several years. The newest ones use a polyurethane cord which should be much more durable and it would include the 7090 controller so it is a pretty good upgrade and not terribly expensive.

The only repair is replacing the motor, so it is more cost effective to just buy part 6055.100 rather than pay shipping to send it in.
