First DIY kalk reactor...
I was so impressed with the quality of products from AVAST after a raving review of their DIY cone skimmer with swabbie from a local club member I started looking at everything on their site and started drooling.
They have outstanding prices on Kalk reactors but I didnt have enough at the time so I started pricing out the parts to do it myself. I emailed Dan about having the tube size in stock and other parts and he was beyond helpful. He finally got the impression I wanted to build it myself and he offered to out a DIY kit together for me and I jumped in it. Quality of the products was great and it was easy to put together. Both Dan and Justin had incredibly fast response time on any questions I had. I know it's not on the site yet but email them and ask for it... By thw way the Kalk stirrer works awesome!!! I look forward to purchasing more DIY items from them in the future hopefully the cone skimmer when I save up the money...

PICTURES!!! lol
On a scale of 1-10 how hard was it putting together? For me they are a 3, but I have put quite a few together :-) The body connector was the only part I was thinking might be difficult for a first timer, especially without a video.

if 1 is hard and 10 is easy I'd say 8ish. I didn't have really any problems building it. I put it together before gluing. Biggest pain was my fault when I put too much kalk in and the stirrer part came unattached to the motor So I just took out the kalk and it's working perfect now...
I don't have any build pictures but I'll try to snap one while it's in action... Thanks again Dan for all the help...

A DIY Kalk stirrer would be a great addition to the product line. I have built two of the media reactors and they were a 1 on a 1-10 scale. Very easy.
