Glass Tank - Is My Silicone a Concern?
I've had my tank for about 3.5 years. It's not from the most reputable builder. I recently noticed little areas where it looks like the silicone, at least on the outside of seal, is disappearing. See the video link. I'm I just being paranoid or does this look suspect?

Hard to tell from the video but if the outer edges are as good as they appear to be in that video you are fine. My edges after 18 years are in a lot worst shape and have been for the last 10 years. I was also worried at first and even today I keep wondering how long does this stuff hold before it gets brittle and breaks away. If my tank is any indication you have at least another 15 years before I would start to worry.
