Yes, a tribute to Carroll Shelby. The gentleman who owns/built that car based the image off an autographed poster he has in his possession. The detail on the graphics throughout that car was amazing...not to mention the mechanical work.

I wish I could have gotten a helluva cool shot because I spent the last half of my week at a manufacturing plant getting a box out the door for a qualifying run - but all you get for the teaser is this -

- or else I would lose my job. And that would suck immensely.

We use coatings and carpets from you. I work for Forest City Enterprises out of Cleveland. Used a few concrete and pre-cast coatings last year on the exterior of my building.

Yes sir, I did. In fact it is probably my dabbling in that that has interfered the most with my photography. Guess I just dig all sorts of mediums. I like the total freedom painting gives. As much as I love photography your bound to some extent to what natures gives you. Thankfully it's usually beautiful and you can control the context and perspective but with painting skies the limit. Actually, there is no limit, except that of your pure imagination.

It's been fun learning about color theory again. You know you use it a tad in post processing just like in the old wet darkroom days but painting takes it too a whole other level!! Fun stuff, just wish there was more time in the day (as I type this at 1:30 am on a work night). Though I did get some nice aurora images tonight, will post soon

oh, stop pouting. i'm guessing there won't be many people with enough time to actually go out and find a bird of prey to photograph so there will probably be older pics.

I know of a guy here who got some AWESOME snowy owl shots recently... And I'll be interested to see if Louis has had the chance to put anything together. There is hope for this one. Not for me, the only thing close to birds of prey around here are the Chicago Blackhawks, but there is hope.
