New fish sick.
Hello! I bought a pair of Lamarck angelfish and the next day they had this. The male have what look like a wound and the femelle a swollen belly. I have the following fish medicine: Metroplex, Cupramine, Chloroquine phosphate and Cipro 500 mg/pill for human. I'm in Canada and having medication is very difficult. I have To order them from the USA and it's very long for delivery. Thank you for your help!

Could be a bacterial infection. Is it getting red or just discolored?

Two possibilities:
1. Bacterial infection: https://humble.fish/bacterial-infections/ 2. Uronema: https://humble.fish/uronema/ Uronema is pretty much untreatable once the red sores develop, so let's hope it's a bacterial infection instead. I would treat with either NFG (buy here) or Kanaplex + Metroplex + Furan-2. |

Unfortunately, Uronema generally goes hand in hand with bacterial infections. That is actually not surprising if you know that Uronema primarily feeds on bacteria. And because it is an opportunistic fish parasite it can not be eradicated by a fallow period. So once you get it into your tank it is there to stay.
Treatment can be attempted with formalin baths and Chloroquine Phosphate treatment (in a sterile tank to prevent bacteria "eating" the CP). Success is however rather rare.
