my fish is having a nightmare!
literally, i think my fish is having a nightmare. well last night i went to check on my tank with a flashlight and noticed my clown was going absoultely crazy in the anemone jerking around and diving into it, not normal clown behavior with a nem. it was so bad the nem was stressed out ( nem 8inches in diameter, 1 inch clown so you can see how crazy he was goin) almost like a dog trying to run in his sleep. there was nothing in the tank bothering the clown and every once in a while at night i see him do this. is he dreaming? can fish dream? if not, why would he be doing this? he is normally very calm, especially at night

You were probably freaking him out by shining a light on him while sleeping.

My clownfish do the same thing if I shine the light on them or turn the room lights on after the tank lights have been out for a while. He probably just got spooked.

My clown is just a nut too. At first I was all paranoid something was wrong because he literally sleeps at the surface of the water beside my overflow box. He's been doing it for months though so I guess its just a crazy clown thing. He's probably sad that his frogspawn died
