Using a Laser To Kill GSP?
Hi everyone
I saw Melev’s Reef guy using a laser to kill Aiptasia. I had a tank over run by GSP, I removed as much as possible by hand, but honestly the tank was over run with it. I’m seeing a couple of missed polyps now trying to make a come back. I had thought about Kalkwasser, then some people Say it won’t work I would remove the stones but it would just set back my tank again for a week. So I reckon the best option if it works, is to burn the GSP with a laser by pointing it through the glass and water from outside the tank Does anyone know if this could work for GSP? Apart from dosing the tank with Fenbendazole which may kill off inverts and worms etc which I’d rather not do this may appear the best option, IF it works??

A laser treatment has the potential to burn anything in a tank give proper focus/power

I've entombed it with emarco cement with great success. Takes a few hours to pull the rocks out, apply it in small batches, let it cure, harden, and rebuild the rockscape, but it CAN be done in a day without much impact to anything living.
