acropora placement
I just got new frags which came from tank with 400w MH. I have 250w MH. Should I place them in the middle or top of my tank? Thanks for help!

I would start in the middle of your tank and go from there. Just because they were under a 400watt doesn't mean much to me. Differences could be bulbs at different ranges. How old bulbs were on the 400watt. How old are your bulbs on your fixture.

My bulbs are 1-2 months old, I can only say that 400watts were very bright to me. LOL

Yea I would start at the middle and work my way back up to the top of the tank. I actually start all my acros at the bottom of the tank first just in case there lights were less potent. Just in case the 400 watters were pretty far off of the tank or they used a bad ballast or the reflector was not very good. You never know

Should I keep it in the middle for few days or weeks? I was told that acros need a lot of light and with my 250w MH I should place it on top.

As far as how long you should keep it there just depends on how the coral is reacting to the depth
