Decided to purchase a hydro wizard ecm 75 from Germany . I placed the order last night and should get it on 24 th November . I am trying to figure out a way to mechanically move the pump up and down the entire height of the aquarium ( approx 3m) . I have spoken to the elevator 's technician of linking the signal from the elevator to the pump's housing so that when a passenger in the elevator presses the button up or down , the pump will move up and down accordingly so as to create a random motion of waves and hotel's guests become part of the life supporting system of the aquarium. Linking the signal is the easy part but to find a mechanical process of moving the pump under sea water ( very corrosive) is the difficult part .

Only the armature has to be exposed to saltwater. This would have to be mainly of 216 stainless steel for strength to stand up to the pressure of such a large pump but some of the moving parts could be of plastic.

I would be concerned with the aquarium so close to the bed. If it isn't absolutely silent you will be getting up a lot all night long.

Will help you
This pump is gigantic. Normally producers of pumps label them with the double of flow it indeed afford. But not Panta Rhei, Abyzz or Royal Exclusive. That means that these pumps make the double of the flow than the most others by same liter label. Grüße Torben Gesendet mit Tapatalk Last edited by Achilles Torben; 11/22/2016 at 03:57 AM. |
