Everything looks great so far! I'm following your progress very closely as I am just getting back into the hobby after a few year break. Previously had an AIO setup, but now going for a display tank with sump like you. Mine just might be a bit smaller 40-50 gallons.

The plumbing aspect of this had me a bit nervous, but after seeing your tank I'm feeling more confident. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for all the nice comments! Let me know when you star your thread so I can fallow it! I was really nervouse about the plumbing but then I realized I was over complicating it! It helps to have the tank and sump in place, just a word of advice. Good luck

I was wondering if there was a way of adjusting the plumbing in my overflow without emptying the entire tank keep in mind that my overflow has a the open teeth on top and the bottom so its not as easy as just draining the overflow box. Cause essentially I would have to cut one of the pipes to shorten it out.

Here they are!
FTS

I know that the skimmer says minimum water level but it seems to be working fine. And the website says it does best in 6-10 inches of water and it's in 9 inch.

Current tank:

New birdsnest!

So sorry for the late response it has been hectic! (got my permit finally ) but anyways...the light came on Monday! It looks awsome and will post pictures when I can later but I also threw a shrimp in there because the first couple days after set up I haven't seen a spike in anything! So yesterday I added a shrimp and now everything is yellow! I imagine with detritus and the shrimps is starting to look hazy! Ew! But anyways sorry for the late response and I will be posting pictures later

I have the same pump as you and same tank size as you, so technically, by me doing this drain setup I could achieve the same results I assume..?? Only reason I say this is because I'm using the 3/4" as the main and the 1" as the emergency, and I'm having a hell of a time tryna level it all out and make it silent.. I have the 3/4" completely unrestricted at the ball valve and the emergency is doing way more than just a trickle.. but it appears u did it the other way around... Is that right..?

I just noticed you have a few metal clamps on your hoses, i would deff replace them with plastic clamps before they rust.
