CorelDraw doesn’t recognize the file’

I get an error message when opening CDR format file with the help of CorelDraw.
ERROR: ‘CorelDraw doesn’t recognize the file’.

I am not too familiar with CorelDraw actually, so is there another way to open this file?

Some other programs may open .cdr files if possible, not all of them do, but some may. One example is Adobe Illustrator which can open some .cdr files.
Also CDR Viewer Tool and Inkscape can open .cdr files.
