9001 skimmer foaming up the sides
My tunze 9001 skimmer is foaming alot on both sides and behind the collection cup. Is this normal?

The back is normal, but the sides is not. How is the pump oriented? It can be installed in all 4 positions. Do you have the air closed at all? Is the flow deflector installed on the bottom and are you using a bubble trap sponge?

The bubbles would be the least in the stock configuration, pump facing the output deflector. Does the pump happen to have a rectangular hole on the bottom, roughly 1/4" wide and 1.5" long? There was a cap in that hole that said Tunze, the cap might have fallen off.
