DI resin ... High CO2 in tap water

Well, I think I finally figured out why I only get a few hundred gallons out of my DI before replacement. Maybe.
My tap water has a TDS of only about 160. It's city water, not well. After RO I am down to 2 ppm. After DI it's 0. But with 2 PPM after RO, my DI should be lasting a long time. I finally checked my Tap Water for PH and alkalinity and plugged it into a CO2 calculator. My Tap Water has a CO2 of about 37 ... whatever units, cant remember the units.
I think I read that below 15 was ok so I assume I'm not ok. Is 37 considered high? and how high? High enough to account for my DI resin only lasting, maybe 300 gallons or less?

I'm looking into setting up a simple degassing set-up if this turns out to be the problem.

Thanks

Yes - that's vey high co2 - that will burn through the anion portion of your mixed bed DI resin.
