Extremely Noisy Tunze ATO

I have a Tunze ATO (Tunze USA 3152.000 Automatic Top off Nano Osmolator) that will not stop spinning its propellers every 5 seconds. It still works as it should but its extremely loud- anyone have any ideas how I can stop it? I tried cleaning, checking for bubbles.. its 3 months old.

The sellers on amazon is of no help and I went to the manufacturer with no response at all.

If the ATO is turning on every few minutes, I can’t help but wonder if your sump level is either changing due to your drains or if the area where you have the level sensor is turbulent. That or you just have a lot of evaporation. As for noise. That is kind of subjective. I ran a Tunze ATO on another tank in the past. They are absolutely bullet proof pumps but they aren’t silent. While I wouldn’t call them noisy, other might. Like I said, noise is subjective and without hearing your pump, it’s impossible to tell you that you have a noisy pump or if the noise you hear is normal. That said, as Vinny mentioned, Roger from Tunze USA is very resonsive. You could post in the Tunze sponsor forum or even PM him.

Here is a trouble shooting guide for the Osmolator. It might address your issue.
