another hanna phosphate checker problem

So i did call hanna today, explained my problem. Again the checker stops when counting down from 3 minutes to 0. Is stops on random 30, 16, 14 seconds. It doesnt happen every time, I would say probably 30%. Which is very frustrating because you only get 6 regents in the package.

So the tech on the phone never heard about that problem (yea that’s a good sign for me!) and asked me 5 times if i am sure its not my actually test result. wow!!!

Also i was told that the checker has 0.04 accuracy. Meaning if your result is for example 0.10 then your real result could be 0.06 or 0.14?? Seriously if i knew that before i would never bought that thing. Especially when your phosphate should be below 0.03
I was told that I need to send it back so the tech can test it. Knowing my luck he will test it once or twice and it will work fine and will send it back to me. Not mention that I have to pay for shipping to get it to them. And this is second checker that I got in two weeks. First was not functioning at all. Every time I opened the lid it shouted itself off.

my point is why sould you have to do it when you spend $50 for a checker and extra $10 for regents. It should just work!

this may be a blessing...since its broken, have them exchange it for the more accurate/better suited ULR phosphours meter

tell them you want the ULR since there have been so many issues with the regular one.....you bought the wrong one to begin with

Are we supposed to be using the phosphorous checker & not the phosphate checker? Why is the difference between the two?
