Thanks Shaggss. Yes, you are right. The stand is from Hongkong (Andrew) I made similar stand what Andrew has done for his beautiful reef tank.

Nick,

As you know that, I am beginner in photography and ended up with new Nikon D5000 .

Very difficult for me to get the quality photos like what you people can get. Let me try.

Hummm, we already adjusted the white balance... now all yo have to do is point and shoot, play with the f-stops, if you need to, and revisit the shots in photoshop if absolutely needed. I dont see what the problem is.... ahhhhh I got it the fish won't hold still

Yesterday I was in the factory. The Glass guy called me and informed that glass is ready (Cutting, Grinding and polishing). It's really big.

He needs to cut down the back glass for overflow. I gave him measurements. Hope fully By this Thursday I will receive the glass

Thanks James.

If you were in Saudi Arabia, then I only able to send you whatever you like from my aquarium. Even all the stuff, which is making you envious.

I gave a lot of beautiful corals and other stuff to my friends from my tank.

Hi SJ,

Glad to see the stand arrived. It looks great... Will you use the roll out sump concept? If so, how?

Congrats on the new camera, the pictures and video look great.

I would keep the clam. It may catch the clown too

Oh Yes, Really happy to see your post again. Well come brother.

The rollup sump concept, I did not integrate with the stand but in the same time I keep the concept as it was. I'll see if I need this in future. I already design my plumbing, which will not case hassle when you roll out the sump. You can see the stand in photos, the wheel place I keep as it is for future expansion.

Thanks.
I'll post, what came with Nikon D5000. I am not good in photography. I got first section from Nick. (One hour Class) ..

Both Blue Maxima looks injured. I don’t think, if I keep clown with clamps they will survive. I think Clown is strong enough. ... ....

UPDATE:

I ended up with Nikon D5000 !!! I'm really pleased with this purchase so far. Everything is brand new!!!

Of course this is new addition in my 300G Reef.

Tripod, Nikon D5000 and Temron (AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD MACRO 1:2).

I love the bag more than my new Nikon……

Battery been charged and already in the camera. Good thing was, the sales man gave me 8GB memory card instead of 4GB.

Photobucket

Need how to get 100% benefit with this new machine.

Concerning the Clams Clown issue I would say get the clams away from his Anemone. He could be thinking it's a threat to his anemone as it's a bit close...
If he continues to follow and attack the clam like this definitly take him out.
Those are two very nice clams you got there.
If the second one is far and still getting attacked then your clown must have an apetite for clams and I would definitly chose a clam over a clown.
Congrats on the camera buy. the 70-300 I'm not really familiar with but I would say is not the ideal range for tank shots. what is the other lense in the pictures? is that the 18-50 Nikon?
could be a bit better than the 70-300 as it would focus a bit closer which will allow you to rest the camera on the glass when not on tripod... On great and cheap lense I found is the Tamron 17-50 2.8 it is faster than other lense as it's a fixed 2.8 and reasonably good quality even wide open and still costs only 3-400 Usd. most of my shots are taken with it.
What tripod is that? make sure it's good quality and stable enough to support your camera with the big lense wide open.

?Question here...

I Planed to put 1 inch of white styrofoam under my tank.

Q: should i go for 1.5 or 2 inches?

and I'm wondering how much it will compress after the tank is filled? There will be 1 to 2 inches compression in plumbing for adjusting the weight of tank. I'm thinking it couldn't possibly compress more than a 1/4 of an inch. My guess is it will compress by a couple of millimeters. Any thoughts or experiences?
