Skimmer

Hey guys! I'm a newbie and have a display tank of 150gallons and a sump of 70 gallons. I'm looking to buy a new skimmer for it. I'm thinking of buying the reef octopus sro 5000 or the skimz sm253dc . Which one should I go for ? Any help would be awesome

I just got the skimz 203dc and it's been great. Have the AC version at work and after seeing how it has been a work horse for two years I wanted one. The DC offers a lot more control.

I love my Skimz so far, picked up the Skimz SN123 DC for my smaller tank 65g total volume. Super quiet and started skimming right away!

Woah, why are you buying these skimmers? They are for systems much larger than yours. I wish you well but likely you are going to have a hard time keeping them consistent given the neck size. Let us know how it goes.

^^

for sure on the skimz sm253dc! It is a very large skimmer..

this one [ Skimz SN123 DC ] seems much more appropriate for the size tank.

This. I would not waste the space on these for that system.

An 8" diameter body and 4" neck needle wheel skimmer would be more then enough.
