Aquamaxx HOB-1 or best other skimmer for JBJ 45 Rimless

Trying to decide which skimmer to purchase for my JBJ 45gal rimless tank. I've read a lot of good reviews on the Aquamaxx HOB-1 (however it is a hang on back) vs in sump.

Also, the Vortech MP10 or Maxspect Gyre 130?

What are the recommendations out there?

I'd go with a Tunze 9004 skimmer as to not ruin the aesthetic of that tank. It is super quiet and gets fantastic reviews regarding its performance as well. It also now comes in a DC version if you want to go that route.

As far as powerheads go, if you're going with the "traditional" style powerheads, I'd get two for more even flow throughout the tank. I'm partial to the MP10 as I run two of them on my Biocube 29. As a cheaper alternative, you could run two of the Tunze 6040s as well. I don't have any experience with the Maxspect Gyre.
