Visibility of images

What are the rules about image links to RC albums? In the following thread I am getting behavior I don't understand:

I initially had the album marked private. I don't know if that makes a difference, but it is now public. I find I can see the image when logged in, or even if I log out, but not when entering the thread anonymously with a clear cache.

Are images in albums invisible to anyone not logged in?
If I post a link to a photo in a private album, can other members see it?

I see the pictures on Tapatalk. I suspect that it was your privacy setting.

Humm... but when I enter anonymously using MS Edge I still don't see it. Logging in reveals the photo. I presume you are logged in through Tapatalk? Is there a privacy setting other than the one associated with the RC album?
