Toadstool poly extension only at night. Why?
Here is a toadstool leather that seems to only ever have good polyp extension when the tank is completely dark. I am wondering if my lighting is too intense for its location in the tank. Currently sits middle of the tank and the lights are two Kessil A-360W and are on about 70% intensity and 45% color. All else is doing very well in tank. Thanks for input.

Looks like a "devils hand" leather and yes could be too much light..

How long have you had the coral for?
Like mentioned above though that's a Lobophyton as opposed to a Sarcophyton. |

My toadstool is doing the same thing, but he still does open half way during the day and occasionally fully but without the ends of the polyps opening... only had him about a month though
