Add clown fish and clean up crew?

I was wondering if my ammonia is zero and nitrite zero is it safe to add a few. My nitrate is 20ppm and my oh is just a little low. I have hair algae and was wondering if a cuc and maybe a few clowns would be ok? Thoughts would be appreciated my wife like the tank but hard to sell her on more stuff for it with just rock lol.

Time for a water change! But I would say yes you could throw in a clean up crew in there now. I would wait on the clowns a bit longer.

Yeah wait on the clowns. What size tank? You might want to,wait on the clowns. They will claim their part of the tank and make it hard to add other fish later. They can be pretty mean.
