The basics are baseline dosing which can be finetuned on demand.
1- Solution to remove waste with carbon and Iron dosings.
2- Solution to control KH/PH
3- Solution to control Ca/Sr
4- Solution for trace elements finetuning

Optional: corrections and elements dosing whenever the need for it arise.

In this way the tank balances itselves out to your way of reefing.
If you feel the need to finetune you get better results (growth, color, consumption)
If you lack inspiration the tank won't crash overnight, but you don't get the most out of the growth, color, consumption.
Seems fair right???🤣🤣🤣

Actually the colour in LED photo looks a bit more saturated in this one. The greens appear to be more vibrant. Pinks, not so much.

Frankly, I would be proud of either of them.

With T5 the colors of the branching corals were more vivid (sideview 4/3/2017)

With led the green montiplaat below is indeed more vibrant because it get more direct light.

Thanks m8

The top view looks a lot better

This is how led prove to be better looking.
No comparison can be made with T5 because pictures taken from abobe with T5 will always have problem with reflection of the bulbs.

At this moment i run 7 aquariums with different themes

1- The 1200 liters DSR reference reef.
2 - The 550 liters EZ reference reef
3- The 200 liters buttefly reef
4 - The 120 liters frag garden.
5 - The 550 liters EZ/Dymico hybride reef
6 - The 195 liter sumpless/skimmerless/NONwaterchanging /experimental reseach reef.
7 - The quarantine tank for new fish

==============================

DSR reference

EZ reference

Butterfly reef

Frag garden

EZ/Dymico hybrid reef

Experimental reef
Here i do the groundbreaking experimental work, before i apply it to the other systems.
Here i decide whether an idea get tossed into the garbage bin or become a potential solution.

Quarantine

What do you do with your surplus of sps corals?

In the waste bin?

https://youtu.be/SMe0C4d8Nz0

Or.... do i use it for something else?

Now i feed them to stubborn bufferflies, that won't accept regular food (yet).
Untill they realize regular food is delicious to..

I think he frags them then purposefully kills it to ise in his reactor. He grows so much so fast he can't keep up with getting rid of his frags

I should really take the “extra” coral off your hands

Thumbs up

Simply amazing growth and color! After reaching this level, for so long, I wonder what's your next challenge?

Thanks!
It's easy and on autopilot everything is on dosing pomp and in control.

Yes.. showing results is one thing. Maintaining that for a long stretch of time is a challenge for many reefers.

My challenge now, is teaching reefers how to maintain their tank the way i do.
I have many dutch reefers who follow my lead with great results.

Now i also focus on maintaining butterflies in a coralreef without demolishing the corals.

My butterflyreef v 1.5 seems more interesting to the butterflies than the original.
They all swim trought the 100mm waterbridge from butterfly reef 1 to the next.
