Doesn't that mean you have to buy everyone a round?

Thanks guys.Tank is cycled but I have been really busy, still only have rock in there.I am also not sure where this new found patience is coming from, very unlike me.Installed brackets to hold the rack for the lights, which are Hydra 52 hd.Not sure how many I am eventually going to put up there probably 6 or 8,I will see what it looks like once they are on. Now all I need are some corals and fish.
Any suggestions on a stocking list.

Thanks.

I am taking it real slow.I was at MACNA in San Diego this weekend, had a great time managed to talk to a whole bunch of vendors and fellow "addicts". Picked up a GEO calcium reactor,I love their products, well made and look good.Had my eye on the 818 but it was sold.So got a good deal on 624 with an extra chamber.I also plan on getting the carbon dosser, they are a bit pricey but I only hear good things.
Started getting my lights up,only issue I have with them are the cords are really short, whats up with that? Will post pics when I get a few minutes.
Thanks to all of you for the kind words and for following.

Are the lights secured to the rail?

I know who to talk to when I need my canopy system made!

Looks great Ivan! I'm also curious if the lights are secured to the rails... but it looks like they fit snug in between the lips on each rail.

Lights just fit between the rails,so I can slide them around. The lights are great,I am really happy with them.I zip tied the power supplies to the frame, does not look as bad as I thought it would,it will have a canopy (some day)so you won't see it.

It has been a while since I posted an update. Got the calcium reactor hooked up and it is running great, very happy with it.The last few weeks I have been getting my wiring neatened up. Got the Apex hooked back up, I have actually been able to downsize on it a bit. I am waiting on the cable to hook up my closed loop pump to the Apex. I am also very happy with the Hydra lights, corals are starting to grow, although it is a fairly slow process. I have had a bit of a Cyano outbreak but I think it is just part of the cycle, Cyano seems to be giving way to what I can only describe as a brownish/rust type algae, hopefully that will clear up soon. I also just re installed my Tunze osmilator, and re plumbed my water storage tank, should make water changes easier.
Reefapalooza California coming up soon hope to pick up some nice stuff there.

Well this weekend was ReefAPalooza, turned out to be a really good show.I managed to pick up quite a few pieces, probably spent more than I should have,oh well just a little less for the kids.I will post some pics when I have the frags mounted.Overall tank is doing well, frags that I put in a few weeks ago are all growing and looking good.Cyano cleared up a several weeks ago so I am happy about that. Now it is just a waiting game till corals grow out.I also added a Carbon Doser to the calcium reactor as the old regulator was acting up,and I have not had time to strip it down,to see what is going on with it.I am sure that there will always be something else to tinker with in the meantime.
How I am loving my tank, feel like a kid with new toys.
Jake Adams gave a talk at Reefapalooza about a trip he did to Indonesia a while back,oh man do I want to go dive there, looks absolutely stunning.I don't know if he has any of his talks on You Tube if he does it is worth spending the time to listen to them.

I'll need to start at page one I believe, but do you mind if I ask what aluminum tube/square you are constructing the light from in? Also if there are any connectors?

I was considering using 80/20 extruded. Bars are not expensive but the connection pieces seem a bit odd and expensive to me. Yours looks similar to what I was thinking of so wanted to ask.

Also, nice tank.

No earth shattering updates. Usually in the winter and I do mean winter in SoCal 65 degrees we tend to not do too much other than basic maintenance. I am being real patient and it seems to be paying off. Corals are starting to show some decent growth all be it slow. Had all my family in and out over the past several weeks and I hurt my back again picking up grandkids. Slowly slowly getting back (no pun intended) into it. I will try post some pics, skills are lacking in that department. Thanks for asking, always appreciated. Oh my lawyer thanks me everyday lol. Not really funny but true.

On your power strip (nice by the way) do you have to worry about water condensing in it since it's so close to the top of the tank?

So far I have not noticed any condensation which was a concern. I am keeping an eye on it. I have 10 lights plugged in so there are no open receptacles which should help as well.

It's been a while since I last updated this post. I have since added a water change and storage system I am using two 100 gallon containers which are in one of my garages which is about 80 feet away from my sump system. I also installed my RO/DI unit close by. Water change is done with an Apex DOS, and all of this is controlled by my Apex. So far the system is working really well and I am very pleased with it.
Tank is also doing really well. I plan on posting a few pics as soon as I can get some sort of covering so that I don't get background reflection of the kitchen.
Here are a few pics. Still need to clean up the spaghetti wiring, as soon as I can get a permanent electrical plug in place.
