I was running one and imo it was a little to blue for me compared to my 10k bulbs.

I had great success with these bulbs in the past with my old 75gal setup. If you click my red house you can see my old page that I had setup for our 75gal.I do believe the actinics were on when I took the pics though. The coloring is great IMO,but I favor the bluer bulbs.
I got great coloring from my corals.but growth of my sps wasnt that great. The tank was mostly lps and softies though, and those grew like weeds. Btw I had 3 250watt sunburts and 4 96watt pcs when I took those pics. HTH

thank you for the posts. alpine, nice tank pics. I dug an old 12k bulb out of a closet that i had from a few years ago, and only used for a few months at the time. I put it in the middle fixture on my 180, and wasnt sure i wanted to go with them. I think im going to head for the 10k route. anyone have any suggestion of the brightest/cleanest look?
