Sourcing a top off reservoir

Looking for a tipoff reservoir of about 6 gallons. I just can't seem to stomach some $100 for a ready made acrylic box. I currently use a 5 gallon bucket but the uni-seals always seem to start seeping after time. Would like to find something durable that I can use a standard bulkhead fitting on instead.

Virtually any plastic container will work just fine provided its strong enough to hold water..

Go to the storage section at Home Depot/Menards... hit up Target, Container store has tons.. I use rubbermaid/sterlite bins all the time..

If you want better suggestions including dimensions and a price range would be nice..

I use a 7 gallon clear storage bin from Lowes. Nothing fancy and only a few bucks.

I use a Home Depot 14g tuff box. I prefer the thicker plastic to keep from bowing and cracking.

This is the container that I use.

https://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Prod...reliance+water

The spout has standard NPT threads, so you can thread PVC fittings into it, and it seals well, then there's just a little air vent that you can open.

I use a 10g aquarium with a glass lid. You could do a 5g aquarium if thats as much as you wanted.

Rubbermaid makes Brute food grade containers you can pick up on Amazon. I have a 14G one I use for mixing NSW. Works great and was cheap enough. I bought mine on amazon.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions folks. I think I will go the 10g glass tank route. Cheap and fits the space the best.
