Welcome, and a quick thank you for a great product! I purchased an MR5 media reactor kit a few weeks ago, it was very easy to assemble and the quality of it was great, very solid !

I also had a quick question for you guys, do any of the standard size Swabbies directly fit the Deltec APF600, or is it a custom size?

Hi All!

Thanks for the welcome and compliments! Please excuse my reply delay; I need to get used to checking another forum for messages

Jon, I just checked out the dimension sheet for the APF600 but they don't mention the collection cup outer diameter. It looks like it is larger than the main body, which is listed at 125mm. My guess is either 150mm or 160mm, either of which will work with the standard 6" Swabbie. If you can take the lid off and measure the outer diameter of the cup that will say for sure.

Glad to be back at RC!

Justin

I have your X-Large Kalk Stirrer....price is right and works well. I do however whish the rod connecting the stirrer to the motor was connected more firmly. That's my only complaint and to be honest it is a great product at an even better price!

You guys rock & welcome over to RC. Hands down the Swabbie is one of the best investments I have purchased for my aquarium and looking forward to the Davy Jones' Skimmate Locker.

Mike

Thanks Darren! Re: rod connector, you can probably tighten down the nylon screw a bit more. You'll feel it when it hits the motor D-shaft, just don't torque it so hard as to twist the head off. We switched to the plastic coupling because the aluminum ones would corrode over time in the high pH kalk environment. The motor shaft is 316SS now. I'll think about how to improve that connection though.

Thanks Mike! I'm guessing that you'll need the largest one based on what your skimmer probably pulls each day with all that feeding If you need it custom sized just ask.
