Torch coral tentacles swelling and becoming transparent?

Hi all,

Some of my torch coral tentacles seem to be swelling and becoming transparent when compared to other tentacles. (See attached photo)

Is this a concern?

My water parameters from yesterday were:
pH 8
Ca 405
KH 8.4
Mg 1460
NO3 0
PO4 0.16
Salinity 1.025
Lighting Nanobox mini tide 50 blue 90 white

I'm not sure if it is because of my high PO4, but I had a PO4 reading of 0.36 two days ago, and the torch coral was looking fine, at least all tentacles look consistent like the upper ones. I suspect my high PO4 was a result of using reef energy a+b, I since cut my feeding vol. down to half the recommendation.

What do you think?

Torches will send out stinging tentacles...this is likely what you're seeing. Keep a close eye after the lights go out and odds are you'll find some super-long, translucent tentacles trying to sting any neighbors.

Transparency in LPS corals could also be a sign of bleaching.

They inflate with water so that they can get the most access to light for their beneficial alage it's like blowing up a ballon the more it's blown up the more transparen it is
