Get ahold of Logan directly about the brackets. He's always been SUPER easy to deal with and goes way out of his way to help me out when I need it. The brackets make those sun blasters easy to mount. I used zip ties and you can hardly even tell. I can take pictures if anyone needs to see how.

edit:

Just two zip ties. You can thread them through between the reflector the the actual ballast as show in the picture. They are of course hanging from the lumenstrip brackets, which made this super simple.

That started my next adventure with this light. The reflector didn't block much and the bulb is BRIGHT. It was really annoying. I bought a separate reflector that Sun Blaster sells and cut it in half long ways. I then used ic-gel to glue the half reflector to the existing reflector to create a quarter shield. You can see that in the picture as well. It looks pretty good and completely blocks the light from the front and even when bent over looking right at the tank. Definitely a must for this lamp.

Here's a link to the reflector if anyone needs it:

Is there any wires directly inside the top of the kit you used? A short screw would provide a cleaner, more secure fit, and aluminum is very easy to drill into.

I need accent lighting for my 84" long tank. Any idea of timing on longer models? Are these dimmable?

Yes! The longer 36" and 48" lights are due to arrive Monday, and they dim to 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% with an easy to use remote. Keep an eye on the Reef Breeders site for more details soon!

Any idea when the Lumenbar48 will be back in stock. My birthday is next week and the wife is getting me a photon 48 with lumen bars. Thanks!
