6095 Problems
I have a pair of Tunze 6095 pumps running on a Tunze controller.
A few months ago one stopped working, it seemed like it tried to start but would not run. I left it off for a day or two and then it started working again. Today the other pump stopped working it feels like is trying to start but cannot spin. Is this a common issue? Thanks, Tim |

How old are the pumps? How long has it been since they have been disassembled for cleaning? What you describe is often an indication the pump needs cleaning, calcium deposits are causing an overload and it shuts down.

I cleaned them about 2-3 months ago but did not remove the impeller as I didn't realize it was removable and did not want to risk breaking the pump.
After an overnight vinegar bath the pump is operational again. There was some calcium deposits at the bottom where the impeller is installed. Thanks, Tim |
