Talking Stocking list for 230g?

Hello , I recently started the process of setting up my 230g tank. I would appreciate some feedback on my initial stocking list. I would definitely modify my list if I'm pushing some size boundaries, over-stocking or anything that could cause problems in my tank.

Black Velvet Angelfish (Chaetodontoplus melanosoma)
Coral Catshark (Atelomycterus marmoratus)
Zebra Moray Eel (Gymnomuraena zebra)
Harlequin Tusk (Choerodon fasciatus)
Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris) (Female & Male)
Blue Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus)
Blonde Naso Tang (Naso elegans)
One Spot Foxface (Siganus unimaculatus)
MAYBE also a Maroon Clownfish (Premnas biaculeatus) but not too sure about that.

What are the dimensions of your tank?

230 seems awfully small for a Coral Catshark.

The tank is 5' (60")x 3'(36")x2'(24")
I was looking into a Remora shark but my LFS advised against it, my second option was a Coral Catshark which they thought would be fine, however, they could be wrong that's why I'm looking for other opinions.

They get longer than 2'. Tank seems pretty small for one IMO.

Do you think there could be a better suited shark for my tank? Or should I take the shark off my list?

I don't think there is a good shark for your tank. A lfs has a tank that is probably 12'x12' with 4' of water. They have 3 sharks in there, they look pathetic. I'd probably go a cylinder tank for a shark, at least give them the illusion of swimming long distances.

Yea, thanks. Already took it off my list, just can't edit the post. I guess with the space I'll save from the shark I'll be able to add a few more fish.

Hi there
Hopefully I can help a bit, and saw the shark is off the list so that opens up a few more fish for you

Anyways, everything looks good so far except maybe the leopard wrasses? heard they are peaceful and not too hardy so may get harassed abit by the larger, more boisterous fishes you have on the list.
If it was me, I would go for another angelfish or 2 (flame, potters, regal, majestic etc) that would do good in your tank size. Maybe a yellow tang aswell to add more color as they look great!
Good luck!

I really like the wrasse but you are right, live aquaria says they would be fine in 50g, so I guess I'll be adding one to my reef instead.

Would a Saddleback Butterflyfish (Chaetodon ephippium) be able to keep up with the other fish while feeding, and not get bullied ?

I would pass on the Naso. A 5' tank is way too short. Naso should be held in a min of 8'.
Saddleback should be fine as long as it is healthy and disease free.
Another good addition would be a raccoon butterfly fish.

An adult hepatus really won't do well in a 5' tank. Reef Central recommends 8' minimum. They get quite nasty, especially when cramped, as adults.

You can do a number of tangs. The hepatus is one of the more needy ones for tank length. You could do purple, yellow, kole, etc.
