Mine used to wrap around the guard on the powerhead output and flail about like a streamer tied to an air conditioning vent.

It is best to do seahorse species only tanks for best chances of success.
You can get some beginning information by reading the links at the bottom of the page "My Thoughts on Seahorse Keeping" written by experienced keepers and a piece also by Dan Underwood of seahorsesource.com. There is a link there as well to tankmates that can give you an idea on what else to put in if you want to try. Basically, corals that don't sting and can take the lower temperature (68°-74°) can be added, and if you want to take a chance with some fish, there are a few rated 0 in the charts.

There are so few LFS's that actually know any amount about keeping seahorses that could practically say there are none.

Not too sure what will all stick around and I am months from adding seahorses but here is my freshly planted future seahorse tank. A little cloudy, someone was playing in the sand to get all of those plants in place.

I'd think there'd be quite a few there taking advantage of cooler water plants of the Oregon coast.

I worry what I could be adding to the tank plus they like it wayyy colder. There are many cold water tanks in the area though

Just gotta represent the PNWMAS while I'm here.
I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting yet. I haven't been to a club event in like a year.
