Does UV kill copepods?
Does anyone know if a UV sterilizer kills copepods or any other pods at that?

Yes, if they pass through, given the right doseage of UV.

I was afraid of that. Well heres my setup for cope reproduction. I put 3 pieces of live rock in my return resevoir of my sump and have had copepods like crazy. Recently installed a UV sterilizer where the intake hose is by the overflow sock side of the sump and it exhausts in the return side. But seems like I have less pods in there. Could just be from the ehaust sturring up the water in the return side though too...

i wouldnt worry about it, ran one for years with no effect to my pod population

More likely to kill their food source, but it depends on the tank and food source. If there are lots of benthic food sources, that's less of an issue. If they are feeding primarily on pelagic sources, then that would be more of an issue.
