waterproofing inside of stand

What should I use to paint/stain the inside of my stand to help waterproof it in case of spills/overflow?

I did 2 coats of Kilzs, then used a paint-able Silicone at all the joints and seems, another coat of Kilzs and finished with a glossy enamel

Look in the paint section at home depot or lowes for an appliance epoxy paint. Its a little pricey and the biggest container I found was like a quart but it does a good job. Hope that helps.

I used a plastic vinyl stuff from lowes. Look in the back by the counter tops.

Then caulk the seams.

Edit, what I am talking about is not paint. Its in a sheet, like what you would find in bathroom walls.

I was the same way. The way my stand turned out it will hold 9 gallons of water. Never tested it, hope to keep it that way.

use redgard. I used this in my stand. First i painted a coat of kilz then redgard on the entire bottom and up 3"

http://www.custombuildingproducts.co...er=diy&lang=en

I saw a demonstration at a builders show where they had painted a cardboard box with it. The box was full of water the whole weekend without a drip outside. They said theyve been using the same box at every trade show for 9 months.

Heres a picture of my stand when I was building it.

btw. Im a tile contractor and use this product all the time.
