100% Silent Reefer 250 Build

Not a single sound is coming from this Reefer 250. It is truly 100% dead silent.



Skimmer : Bubble King Mini 160 (Had to tweak it and add some silicone pads)
Return: Royal Exlusive RD3 Mini
Light: Maxspect Razer 180w 15k
Wave: Quiet Drive Vortech MP40
Tank: Reefer 250 with Silent Overflow

Aquaroche rocks
Special Grade Caribsea Sand

that would freak me out.. I need to hear gurgling and other noises so my brain knows everything is ok

Agreed. The sounds are relaxing anyway as long as you don't have obnoxious pump noises and rattles.

Love a silent tank! Nice job. Harder than one would think as so many people have skewed perceptions of what silent means.

How do you find the razor on the reefer 250? I have the same light but am looking at getting the 350, do you think there will be enough light?

I have the 170w 16k version and It's more than enough for 250 imo. 350 might be pushing it.

Added corals and inverts! Everything is going well. I have 2 clownfish and lawnmoner blenny in qt right now.



New Corals:
Frogspawn
Torch
2 kinds of GSP
Bubble
2 Acans


New Inverts & Snails:

1 Turbo
3 Cerith
2 Fire shrimp
1 Cleaner
3 Hermits

Lovely aquascape. I came across this while searching for aquaroche artificial rock. Did you have any issues with those rocks or no?

Be careful with the GSP (front right). I put a clump like that in my RSM 500 and they have spread and taken over! Can be dangerous...
