This Kessil AP700 is beyond impressive. I'm already seeing colors in my corals that I've never seen before #happy

Hey, thanks for posting photos of the Kessil AP700 over your tank. It's looks good. After much research and back and forth, I've decided to also buy the same light tomorrow at my LFS along with a Red Sea Reefer 250. What's the length and width of your tank?

Nevermind...I found your tank's dimensions on DSA's website.

I'm glad I bought the Neptune PMK a few months ago.. Coming in very handy now that I'm dialing my new light in. This is a comparison between my old 360WE program vs one of the stock AP700 templates. I tweaked it a bit for tomorrow to lower the par a bit

Thanks. The AP should be perfect size for your Red Sea tank

How's the shimmer on the AP700? Is it about the same as your 360?

Well hooked up the WAV pumps and even at 1% they are way too powerful. These are made for big tanks. Looks like I'll put them away for future use and I'll pick up another MP10 for this tank. This sucks

In my despair over the WAV pumps, I've ordered another MP10, this time the wireless one. Also a kit to convert my other MP10 to wireless and the Neptune WXM module to run them.

DSA NEO 65 PRO - build by sixpackgarage
In reefing we have successes and failures (well at least I do). The last few days seems like more failures. First, I didn't adequately research the WAV system, and today, my toxic GSP colony is toast. I just spent the last hour siphoning it out. The colony grew nicely, but even while growing it would close for several days only to open back up. Not this time. It was closed for about a week and today when I got home it had a white film over it. When I poked it with the siphon tube, it was hollow inside like something had eaten it from the inside out.. Just guessing. The silver lining in this is that the GSP was going to overgrow the rock which has other cool stuff on it. Luckily everything else looks healthy. Now if I could just get the fitting on my CA dosing vessel to seal...

GSP should be banned for sale at fish stores. It's like home depot selling dandelions.
Tank is looking great. The corals look battery powered under your new light. |

Spent a little time on sorting out my DOS last night after everyone went to bed. Still work to do, but it's mounted and hose managed.

Looks like a tidy setup! What will you be dosing with it?

So I scraped my PAR sensor off with my fingernail Sunday night and yesterday realized the AP700 is putting out about 60 PAR more than I thought. Knocked power back to 50% max. Let's see what happens today.

corals still weren't happy at 50% intensity, so I set it to 40% max and last night when I got home everything looked so much happier. It was too dark to take photos. I'll take some this weekend. Also went and picked up my wireless MP10 and WXM module from the LFS and have it running on Fusion. Love that. Ordered an RF card for my older MP10. Can't wait to have both Vortechs on a program.

Ok so 40% max intensity on the AP700 seems to be the sweet spot. All corals are now happy again. DOS is working flawlessly so far, just getting used to the fusion display updating in funny ways with regard to DOS. I'm currently dosing TLF part A and B, but have BRS 2 part waiting in my cabinet as soon as the TLF runs out. I'm still running my ATO through my kalk reactor to keep PH from dropping too low. One I start the BRS soda ash, I'll disconnect the kalk reactor. Happy that I have both MP10s wireless and controlled by fusion. Only odd thing is last night fusion was not uploading my MP configuration to the cloud. Tried it later and it worked.

Took a couple of growth shots. I'll take more in 4 weeks to see if automated dosing helps.

Tanks looking great. I wasn't so sure I'd like it at first with the crate but as it grows in I'm really liking it!

Out of curiosity what are your running the mp10's at? Both mode and speed, directly across from each other? Thanks.

Doc, they are pretty much across from each other, but not perfectly... limited by my current coral placement. Here is the program (both the same). Only frustrating thing right now is if I reduce pulse time to less than 6 seconds, fusion won't update the cloud
