1st impression is that I like the built quality. not sure why the groves are in the slide out sides.
no emergency drain or slot cover to keep the turf from growing into the pipe but I can DIY something.
may or my not use the included LEDs might just DiY up some crees.
we will see.

all in all i like it.
now to get it up and running along with the apex looks like I have lots of tank work ahead of me...

I've been thinking about a scrubber, but have no room in my sump for one. A small simple one like this could be the trick. Since I have some weldon coming, might try and DIY one myself.

Let us know how it works out for you.

FWIW, I never thought I would use the apex beyond temp, PH monitoring, and a feed mode to shut off my pumps when I feed. Boy was I wrong! The longer I have it, the more uses I find for it. I would never do another marine tank without one. Temp, and PH monitoring is nearly obsolete now, as I have the apex do everything else.

well not much going on I still have yet to get the new ATS up and running. not sure why either I need to tho I took the upflow off line as it was not doing much because the air line got clogged the only thing I did not like about it. as far as space going and when it was working it kicked butt.

ok now I have to get the new one up and running so I can see the difference.

I have been so slacking guys! both in getting the new ATS online and chatting with you all.

I have come to the conclusion that keeping a build thread on a public forum is a great thing ( as we all know) keeps me accountable for my lazyness and keeps in going with everyone feed back and thoughts...

so just wanted to admit that out loud that I have been some what slacking and motivation took a hit as I was concerning moving out the state.

all that said now its time to get back in a 100%

my lovely filaminted flasher wrasse some how carped surfed and my chromie got sick and was swiming odd and would only hang out in the back corner and would not eat just flow there. sigh it held on for some time but on morning it was MIA.

so now for fish I have:
royal gramma
flame angel
melanuras wrasse

at some point I want to add more fish. just having a really hard time finding the "right" fit and what I want.

Comments on your build

That is awesome build your doing. I've been looking at all your post on the build of your tank and I must say it looks fantastic. I'm Just getting started in the hobby myself and would gladly welcome any input or information you might be able to provide
