I'm so jealous of this thread.

Keep it up, I'm excited to see it in your tank soon!

It balled up while under 100% darkness. I use a towel to wrap around the tank so it's completely dark for Cipro. I'll stop wrapping it now. with just a slit of light, it started perking up. Looks good after

3 more days to full 7

The tentacles see longer. That is great. Gigantea shrink up some at night, but not deflated.
Good luck. I think he is fine.

Looks pretty decent. I haven’t had luck with them once they started to ball up like you mentioned but that may just be my own bad luck. Really hope this one makes it to the display. Curious to see how it ends up looking. Almost has the coloration of those rainbow haddoni that pop up for sale sometimes.

Tomorrow will be 7th day Cipro. Should I continue to Cipro or should I start monitoring?

I like going 7 days regardless of how it looks.

Then another week in QT with water changes as needed.

It looks good. Some of mine deflate at night a lot more than what yours looks like.

I don't think I'm being overly optimistic when I say that I think you're in the clear.

Ok so tomorrow morning I will do the 7th Cipro dosing. If we count the shop's Cipro, it should be 2 weeks total.

I'll keep it in QT for another 7 days. I'll start off with 50% water change daily. I'll do more if needed.

Also, I'll start introducing tank water as I do water changes.

I would stop treatment after day 7. 3 days observation then to DT if he looks good. I like to have mine attach to something other than the tank, so I can just move him and don’t have to detach him from glass befor moving. Attach to something also allow me not to turn off circulation right after transfer.

I’d maybe try to put a flat rock next to its foot to see if it moves onto it on its own.

I found a little more black expel at end of Day 6. Nothing today.

here's the expel at end of day 6. There was nothing at Day 5. It had been balling up at night for 2 days. Probably trying to squeeze these turd out

Yes, I agree.

And the bleaching isn’t really an issue. The color will come back quickly.

Looking good m0nkie.
Can't wait to see him in DT.
If you don't have any anemone in DT, you don't have to wait to transfer. If you do, then 3+ days with no deflation is enough IMO.
Initially, I don't put anemone in their permanent place but I put them on a rock or cup or whatever they attached to (in hospital tank) in an open area. If they do well there, I transfer them to permanent place. I am usually pretty good in picking place for my Magnifica, Gigantea and Haddoni. All most all the time they stay where I put them.

I really hate to separate anemones from their attachment. IMO, this really stress them. They often do it themselves if we put them in a less than ideal situation.

Definitely agree with this. I just sold my blue gig the other day and it was a 2 hr process to get about a quarter of the foot detached. After that I gave up because I didn’t want to totally destroy the entire foot and just chipped away as much of the rock as possible and sent it still on the rock. It was definitely a stressful process for me and the anemone.

JMHO.......
The anemone is in desperate need of some light and flow.
Awesome job with it so far.
