tissue Bubbling in SPS
Hi guys.
I have a friend who has an issue with tissue bubbling in his acros. Started with one and now more and more are getting it. Any ideas as to causes? As to his water I believe it to be Nitrates at 10, phos at .04, Calcium at 450 and alk at 7. Last edited by Angel101; 11/18/2018 at 03:21 AM. |

Sometimes an unballanced addition of alk and calcium can cause this. I would make sure to dose equal two parts, if they are then lower the calcium or raise the all and make sure mag is in range with it. Pictures will help though.

Yeah their are two types I think. One the tips will cluster with bubbles and the other bubbles will form throughout the flesh off the coral along the body more. I think the tips being blistered is more often from what I mentioned. At least in my experience.

I had this happen. All of my acros died. I believe it was due to poor health because they weren’t growing. Once I upped my lighting, big time, my acros are now growing.

May want to test ph, magnesium, strontium and potassium as well.. see if anything else is out of whack..
Maybe a string of big water changes would balance things out again..
