Planted anglerfish tank

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, but I've been in the hobby for a while. This tank is my pride and joy right now. It houses my baby Commerson's anglerfish and the two talbot's damsels he was never able to catch.

Tank video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA2bgiEc6QE

Current macros are:
Titan algae (Titanophora sp.)
Red gracilaria
Halimeda sp.
Dragon's breath
Red grape (Botryocladia sp.)
Codium sp.
Blue ochtodes
Pencil cap (Penicillus capitatus)
Yellow Eucheuma
Palm caulerpa (Caulerpa paspaloides)
Cymopolia barbata
Mermaid's fan

No co2, but both the display tank and sump are open top so it gets decent gas exchange.

can you tell me more about your tank. How old is it and how large is it and do you add anything to the tank? Do you use a skimmer or do water changes? can you post a full tank picture? It looks beautiful on the video.

Beautiful tank! How long have you had the eucheuma?

The tank was started August 28, 2011, so it's approaching 1 year old. It's a standard 20 gallon high with a 5 gallon sump. I don't use a skimmer (on any of my tanks actually) and I do a 5 gallon water change every couple weeks as well as run GFO in the sump. I dose potassium nitrate twice a week and iodine and iron chelate once a week. Oh, and I have a bunch of baby mollies growing in the sump as food for the angler so those help produce nutrients for the macros.

Sadly, I don't own a camera. I have to wait until my friend comes over with her DSLR, so I'll get a full tank shot then.

Thank you I've only had the Eucheuma for a few days. Some parts died off from shipping, but so far it seems to be doing well. I put a piece in my dwarf seahorse tank because that runs at a lower temp and I was told that subtropical temps keep eucheuma yellow. I guess we'll see after a while how it does in different tanks.

Well I completely forgot this thread existed...

Anyway, a lot has changed recently. The angler jumped a couple months ago so now it's just the damsels left. I've added a lot more macros and NPS corals too. Here's a new FTS

I'm starting a tank for an Angler. I'm not new to the hobby 125 reef and a 125 lion and snowflake tank. I'm using a 55 w/ sump, small fuge to help w/ live growth for copepods and food source. Growing some Macros in tank on a submerged mud bed covered with sand and rubble. Live rock structures and couple Zoa's and star polyps, etc. I know the sand bed will be an issue no gobies but thinking few snails and sand stars. Planning on some Damsels and ghost shrimp. Obviously will run ~month before I add the Angler. Any advice?
