My TBS rock and sand arrived today!
TBS was a pleasure to deal with, everything went exactly as planned. I picked up the rock and sand from Greensboro Airport and it is now all installed in my 75 gallon tank. This rock was nothing short of AMAZING! The amount of life on it is incredible. I have some corals, sponges, a tiger banded serpent star, several crabs and snails, a few worms, many feather dusters, a tiger tail cucumber, and many other things. I did find one mantis but he was at the bottom of the bag and never made it to my tank. Anybody thinking about live rock really needs to check out TBS. This is my second purchase from them, I had a 55 gallon a few years back. I am waiting for the water to clear and I will critique my aquascaping and prepare for my second shipment of "decorator" rock and critters. I can only imagine how beautiful THAT rock will be! I will post pics when all is setup. Thank you TBS for the great service and fantastic product!!

I got some from them also and have had it for about 3 months and have some hard coral as well as some soft growing on it. Both seem to be doing real well. I was satisfied with my order too.

Rock and sand in the tank for less than 24 hours and I have no detectable ammonia!

Yesterday I got my 2nd shipment from TBS. It is just fantastic! Corals, crabs, snails, great serpent stars! Just unbelievable how much life. I even had a scallop attached to a rock. I will post pics when I can figure out how to resize them small enough.

One of those rocks looks like it has a sponge growing on it kinda like the gold one on one of my rocks. You have a good setup there and more things will pop out as time goes on.

Has that urchin started to eat any of the wonderful color on that live rock? That has always been a concern of mine with this rock. So packed an an urchin just fearing away on it.

The urchin hasn't eaten any of the color yet, but thanks for the heads up. I will keep an eye out for that.

Yes, do that. I had to take my urchin out because he was eating all my new grown coraline.

in my tank the short spine urchin went to my fuge as he went after my button / zoanthinds he was not eating them - he was wearing them!! but that 's not good for trying to grow a colony in the rocks!

Well, you guys were right. I woke up to a rock wiped clean by the urchin so I had to remove him before he did any more damage.
