Nassasrius snail or whelk?
Bought this "Nassarius Snail" at the local lfs but after googling a bit I'm leaning towards it being a whelk and him potentially harming future snails. What do you guys think he is? Should I return him to lfs?
I've asked other forums I just like other opinions. So far others are leaning towards nassarius. He does submerse himself in sand and do the submarine thing but he also likes venturing around the tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nass for sure. It's a picture perfect copy of my two big ones. I believe there are multiple species of nassarius out there, these are some of the biggest. They are wonderful, always entertaining, never any problems, I've had mine for years.
