Can anyone tell me what kind of eggs these are? I found them on the rock my BTA came on. Yes, for whatever reason it decicded after several days in the tank to detach, and move late this evening. I noticed these eggs, and immediately removed the rock from the tank.

If you can remove the rock, scrape them off and then pour a little hydrogen peroxide on the spot, let it stand for a minute or so, then return the rock to the tank.
Bubble algae is something you'll want to stay on top of. It is certainly in the group of algaes that can quickly spread throughout the tank and be difficult to get rid of.

If the rock isn't really needed in the tank , I'd throw it away. Bubble algae is the reason I took down my first reef tank.

Bubble algae is actually pretty easy to control IME. Just rip out as much as you can before each water change and keep your eyes peeled for more. The key to beating this stuff is to stay ahead of it.

Defiantly bubble algae there. If you are getting a emerald crab make sure to get a female. The males are generally not reef safe.

Depending on the size of your tank, IME, some Tangs can keep it under control.

I would just remove manually for now then order an emerald online from liveaquaria... You might have to pick up a few other things in order to reach the limit to receive free shipping
