Beananimal piping question

I don't get the reason for the threaded adaptor and screw on cap topping the Sanitary-Tees on the siphon and emergency drains. Can someone please explain their purpose?

So that you can unscrew the cap and clean (pipe/bottle cleaner brush,etc..) down in the pipes as needed to remove years of worm/sponge,etc... growth..
Its for longevity/maintenance.. A glued cap would not allow that..

Its not a requirement for its function but does make for a smart addition for that "just in case" factor..
