Using Expired Red Sea Coral Colors
I have some Coral Colors additives that expired about a year ago. Is there any danger to using them? I'm hoping they'll simply be weaker, but does anyone have concerns that they could actually cause problems?
Thanks! |

I have used unexpired RED SEA Colours for a year or so now.
I see absolutely no difference whatsoever, no, has anyone shown me a tank where this stuff actually worked. This stuff can be quite dangerous, metals can build up if dosing is slightly out or poor water change regiment, can pull the meat right off LPS...... I would not take the risk....I have since ceased using this product as I don't see what it does. Keep in mind you must know the exact consumption rate of calcium to provide the right dose. Danger....... |

They don't tell us what's in products like that, but if the mix contains no organics, it might be safe enough. I'd probably pitch it, though, just to be be safe.
